Sales and Business Development Manager

As a key driver of business growth in the UK market, you will play a pivotal role in identifying new opportunities, building strong client relationships, and closing deals to exceed sales targets. Key Responsibilities:

Business Development:

  • Identify and research new business opportunities and market segments.
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of potential clients through networking, cold calling, and attending industry events.
  • Build strategic relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Collaborate with marketing to create targeted campaigns and outreach strategies.

Sales Execution:

  • Conduct product/service presentations and demonstrations to prospective clients.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to close deals successfully.
  • Manage the sales cycle from prospecting to a successful launch. Hand over launched projects to the engagement team.

Client Acquisition & Relationship Management:

  • Identify and target potential clients through various channels, including networking, cold calling, and digital outreach.
  • Willingness to create client interactions/connects via cold calling, targeted outbound campaigns / emails, zoom / video meetings, in person meetings, events, etc.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
  • Visit clients and project sites to build and develop positive relationships.

Networking & Industry Engagement:

  • Utilize netwrking opportunities at industry events and conferences to generate leads and foster relationships.
  • Team Development to Take ownership of your own specialist market, in which you can grow out and develop a team around you.

Collaboration & Coordination:

  • Work closely with marketing, product development, and other internal teams to ensure alignment in strategy and execution.
  • Provide feedback to teams based on client interactions to inform product development and marketing strategies.

Reporting & Documentation:

  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline status using CRM systems.
  • Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market feedback, and business development activities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role, preferably within the UK market.
  • Proven and demonstrated experience in selling complex IT services to technical and business stakeholders
  • Proven ability to build and maintain long-term business relationships.
  • Strong understanding of the UK market dynamics and business culture.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to partner with internal teams such as product/solution development, pre-sales support/sales effectiveness, and others.
  • Aptitude to pick up the basic concepts in technology and various industry domains; willingness to continually learn. In other words, you should be buzzword-compliant.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, business intelligence tools (e.g., ZoomInfo), LinkedIn, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn insights into actionable strategies.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • A consultative approach to business development with strategic thinking.
