Sales and Business Development Manager

Key Responsibilities:
Business Development:
- Identify and research new business opportunities and market segments.
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of potential clients through networking, cold calling, and attending industry events.
- Build strategic relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Collaborate with marketing to create targeted campaigns and outreach strategies.
Sales Execution:
- Conduct product/service presentations and demonstrations to prospective clients.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to close deals successfully.
- Manage the sales cycle from prospecting to a successful launch. Hand over launched projects to the engagement team.
Client Acquisition & Relationship Management:
- Identify and target potential clients through various channels, including networking, cold calling, and digital outreach.
- Willingness to create client interactions/connects via cold calling, targeted outbound campaigns / emails, zoom / video meetings, in person meetings, events, etc.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Visit clients and project sites to build and develop positive relationships.
Networking & Industry Engagement:
- Utilize netwrking opportunities at industry events and conferences to generate leads and foster relationships.
- Team Development to Take ownership of your own specialist market, in which you can grow out and develop a team around you.
Collaboration & Coordination:
- Work closely with marketing, product development, and other internal teams to ensure alignment in strategy and execution.
- Provide feedback to teams based on client interactions to inform product development and marketing strategies.
Reporting & Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline status using CRM systems.
- Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market feedback, and business development activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role, preferably within the UK market.
- Proven and demonstrated experience in selling complex IT services to technical and business stakeholders
- Proven ability to build and maintain long-term business relationships.
- Strong understanding of the UK market dynamics and business culture.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to partner with internal teams such as product/solution development, pre-sales support/sales effectiveness, and others.
- Aptitude to pick up the basic concepts in technology and various industry domains; willingness to continually learn. In other words, you should be buzzword-compliant.
- Proficiency in CRM software, business intelligence tools (e.g., ZoomInfo), LinkedIn, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn insights into actionable strategies.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- A consultative approach to business development with strategic thinking.
